The Chatterboxes are hosting an all-singing, all-dancing and everything-in-between variety show on Tuesday 4th April to raise funds for their camping trip later this year.
They will also be showcasing their new promotional film and latest magazine. The Chatterboxes are a youth action project run by young people with disabilities, aged 11-25 years old, from Bournemouth, Poole and other parts of Dorset.

Dorset Council Children's Services - Dates for your diary - Summer conferences - We’ll be
holding our summer conferences again this year – they are a great opportunity
for us to work with partners and learn from each other, so make a note of the
dates! On 29 June we will be having our Education Conference and on 30 June it
will be the Strategic Alliance Conference. Both are taking place at Durlston
Country Park and we’ll be sending out more details will follow in the coming
weeks.
Onwards and upwards for new schools’ attendance strategy - Children and young people will get the support they need to get the most enjoyment from their educational experience and improve their life opportunities following the launch of a new attendance strategy by Dorset Council.

Save the Children’s Children and Young People Climate Fund (The Great Big Green Week) – Grants of between £300 and £800 are available to a range of UK not-for-profit organisations, including registered charities, Community Interest Companies, schools and local authorities, for child and youth-focused activities that celebrate action on climate change during the Great Big Green Week (10th to 18th June 2023) – deadline 13th April 2023
Asda Foundation - U18 Better Starts Grants - The U18 Better Starts Grant aims to give children under 18 years old the best start in life by tackling poverty, enabling inclusion and enhancing wellbeing – closing date for applications 21st April 2023
The Michael Cornish Charitable Trust - Small grants, nominally up to £5,000 but usually of £1,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas. Application deadline Sunday 18th June 2023
The Sports Foundation for the Disabled – Revenue grants of up to £5,000 are available to individuals and charitable organisations, including Town and Parish Councils, in the South West of England and Wales for projects and activities that facilitate access to sporting opportunities for people with a disability. Applications can be made at any time.
The Delamere Dairy Foundation – Grants of between £250 and £5,000 are available to registered charities and charitable organisations in England, Scotland and Wales working in the areas or agriculture, the environment, education, children and young people, financial hardship and the relief of sickness. Application deadline Thursday 31st August 2023

PramaLife is a charity that works with older people to help give them a good quality of life. We run lots of projects, including a project that has proved to be thoroughly enjoyed by older people, a pen pal project that we run called Yours Sincerely. We ask younger people between the ages of 14 -18 to write letters to an older person about anything they are interested in. We are constantly in search of new young people to become pen pals. The training days were a great success, not only was there some fantastic trainers providing some courses but it was also a great day to network and talk to youth workers from across Dorset.

We have reviewed how we support local Clubs & Groups in Dorset, we want to make sure we can support you so you can carry on providing your fantastic service. There is no longer a affiliation fee to become a member but we will be asking for all new and existing members to complete our new membership form for 2023.
