The Boshier-Hinton Foundation

The Boshier-Hinton Foundation provides grants to UK charities and Community Interest Companies that are working to provide relief for children and adults with special educational or other needs. Projects which are innovative and developmental are particularly welcomed.

The Foundation’s objectives are to:

o Provide relief for children and adults with special educational or other needs, and their families, in any part of the UK.
o Make donations to institutions providing facilities and advocacy for children and adults with special educational or other needs.
o Make donations to other registered Charitable Trusts, and
o Make donations to local community charities or other agencies in any part of the country whose objects are no wider than the charity's own, or to any charity for use for particular purposes, which fall within the charity's objects.

Revenue grants up to £2,000 are available (the Foundation does not award grants for capital projects). During the year ending 31 March 2022, the Foundation awarded 123 grants totalling £196,732. This included 9 grants of up to £15,000 to celebrate the Foundation's 15th year of grant-making.

A list of all awards made during the year can be found on pages 14-17 of the Foundation's annual accounts.

Funding is not available for:

o Capital projects.
