About Organisation

A Stars is a parent led weekly support group for families with a child on the Autistic Spectrum. Parents stay with their child/children and are responsible for them. Siblings are welcome as are all other family members however we do limit a maximum of 2 adults at any one time per family. All families are welcome who want to meet others who are also living with Autism Related Condition (ASC). We pride ourselves on offering a safe yet stimulating non - judgemental environment for children with an ASC.

We are providing a place where whole families can come along and socialise with each other, and join in the activities if you want to. Refreshments are provided weekly too. We are very keen that brothers and sisters of ASC children feel able to come along. Not only can you take part in activities if you wish, you can also socialise with other children who have autistic siblings.

Our activities are many and varied. Activities include: Bingo fun, parachute games, Fish & Chip lunches, various outings such as a day trip to London, games console facilities, craft activities like making cards for seasonal events such as Christmas and Mother's Day, treasure hunts, basic cooking, board games...football and outside games run every week. We always welcome suggestions for activities from children and parents alike.
