The charity was founded and registered in August 2016 when Dorset County Council decided to cease funding the Youth Service.

Since that time the Youth Club has been run by a team of volunteer leaders and helpers whilst the Trustees have endeavoured to establish firm foundations for the centre by securing income through hiring the building for a wide range of activities and functions as well as organising fundraising events and a regular Community Café.

Various groups use the centre on a regular basis: Youth Club, Rainbows . It is HQ of DorSAR - Lowland Rescue-Dorset and is also used on an occasional basis for Leader Training events by the District Scouts.

The extensive field provides opportunities for activities and celebrations, both public and private.
