We believe every young person should have someone they can trust

Townsend Youth Club offers weekly open-access sessions for young people aged 11-16 years

The project aims to engage young people in meaningful activities in their own community. Where they have a safe space to have fun, meet with friends, learn new skills, have a voice, be listened to, where they can find their purpose and value, with support from our Youth Team.

Opening Times

• Thursday evenings from 6pm - 8.00pm for young people in school years 7 to 11

Activities include:

• Sports
• Team Games
• Board & Card Games
• Arts & Crafts
• Cooking
• Music
• Pool
• Table Tennis
• Gaming

There is no charge for sessions, joining is simple and just requires a parent or legal guardian to complete a registration form

Townsend Children’s Project

Townsend Children’s Project provides play activities for children in School years 1 to 6, based at Townsend Youth Centre near Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Bournemouth.

The weekly session gives children the opportunity to engage in play activities and develop positive friendships with their peers.

Opening Times

• Wednesday evenings from 4.00pm – 5.00pm for children in school years 1 to 3
• Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm – 8.00pm for children in school years 4 to 6

Activities on offer include:

• Cooking
• Arts and Crafts
• Music
• Board Games & Card Games
• Play
• Sports
• A social space to meet friends and make new ones
• Support in moving up to youth club sessions during school year 7
