UP in BCP is a service for children and young people provided by BCP Council.

UP has been formed to ensure that children and young people (aged 12-19 or up to 25 if they have a SEN or disability) in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are supported and have the information, advice and guidance to make informed decisions. Whether it’s your future, things to do, health or finding your voice – we are here to help.

Whether it is the need for specific information or the need to talk to someone confidentially, UP is here for you!

Youth Access Points

UP in BCP We currently operate two Youth Access Points, and one Youth Café called The Point. Across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) area, offering extensive and diverse forms of support and guidance. UP in BCP’s Youth Access Points offer support with making positive life changes, helping you to identify realistic choices and move towards lasting results.

How can the Youth Access Points help you?

• Support with training, learning, volunteering and work opportunities at your own pace
• Enable you to fill in forms and look at education and employment opportunities
• Introduce you to other services and agencies that may be able to help you
• Empower you to know how to deal with challenges or difficulties related to your well-being, relationships or progression

The Youth Access Points offer:

• • Guidance on looking for work, training and learning opportunities
  • Free internet access to job search
  • Support with building and creating CVs and support with interview techniques
  • Access to counselling (16+)
  • Access to sexual health advice
  • Free condoms through the C-Card scheme
  • Help with benefits and filling in forms
  • Access to youth engagement programmes
  • Advice on housing options and signposting to relevant services
  • Referral to specialist services in substance misuse or emotional well-being support

The Point Café

Run by dedicated young volunteers, our café is more than just a place to enjoy delicious house-made cakes and quality beverages. It's a training facility that operates as a non-profit service, with all proceeds going back into the café to support our mission.

Every sip and bite you take helps us look after our welcoming space and empowers our amazing volunteers. We strive to offer you the best, and your understanding of our pricing, which reflects these efforts, is truly appreciated.
