Art Therapy Group (Untapped Art Therapy)
About Project
Art therapy group for children and young people aged 13-18 (up to 25 with disabilities) suffering from anxiety, isolation, loneliness and mild SENDMH/ASD/ADHD.
Art psychotherapy uses art to help us work through emotional difficulties, especially when communication is challenging. It can be used to support people of any ability, and does not require any artistic skills. We work psychodynamically, using a person-centred trauma-informed approach, where being seen, heard and understood aids the healing journey. We provide a warm, nurturing and non-judgemental space to develop a shared understanding of what has brought a person to therapy. Our art therapists are fully qualified, insured, hold enhanced DBS checks, and are registered with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
Please refer yourself using the referral form. Any queries please email info@untapped.org.uk
Sessions are fully funded and free (Community Fund and NHS Charities Together).
