About Project

Understanding Parental Wellbeing

A FREE 4-week course supporting parents, grandparents, and carers to create a positive home environment that promotes family wellbeing. Each week we will tackle a related topic and set SMART goals to build towards increased confidence and peace of mind when dealing with family issues.

Week 1 - Emotional Hygiene: Improving and maintaining your own wellbeing has a huge impact on your child and family relationships.

Week 2 - Communicating with Teenagers: Developing your skills to talk, listen and understand your child.

Week 3 - Dealing with Grief and Loss: Understanding the grief cycle and how unresolved significant losses impact on your own and your child’s development and cognition.

Week 4 - Family Bonding: Sharing positive time together making every interaction count towards a deposit in your child’s emotional bank account.

Courses will be running throughout Dorset & BCP areas (Please note the location given here is our office and not where the sessions will actually take place). For course details and dates please contact: Dr Mindy Bartlett on 01202 612 892 or mindy.bartlett@edasuk.org alternatively visit our Families In Mind Webpage to find out more.
