About Project

The Chatterboxes is a youth action project run by young people with disabilities aged 11-25 years old from Bournemouth, Poole and other parts of Dorset. We believe every young person should have someone they can trust. The Chatterboxes’ main aim is to raise awareness of disabilities and create a community which is equal for all whilst being surrounded by friendship and laughter. Within all groups there is a focus on transitions and supporting members to build skills to help them in the future.

This session focuses on young people building friendships and having fun whilst doing various activities such as making films, designing magazines, creating presentations and workshops to deliver to their peers on topics they are passionate about such as mental health and disability awareness.
