About Project

The Chatterboxes is a youth action project run by young people with disabilities aged 11-25 years old from Bournemouth, Poole and other parts of Dorset. We believe every young person should have someone they can trust The Chatterboxes’ main aim is to raise awareness of disabilities and create a community which is equal for all whilst being surrounded by friendship and laughter. Within all groups there is a focus on transitions and supporting members to build skills to help them in the future.

This session focuses on young people having a safe space to explore who they are whilst getting involved in a range of activities such as designing workshops for their peers, creating drama, making music, cooking as well as inviting guest speakers such as Dorset Police.
