THE CLARA E BURGESS CHARITY – A limited number of grants are available to registered charities in England and Wales that are supporting the education, health and wellbeing of children and young people, and in particular children aged 10 and under who have lost either or both parents.

The charitable objectives of the Clara E Burgess Charity are:

“The relief of children and young persons, in particular by:
o the provision of facilities and assistance to enhance the education, health and physical wellbeing of such children in order that their conditions of life may be improved, and having particular regard to:
o children under the age of 10 and those who have lost either one or both parents“.

During the year ended 20th October 2022, the Charity awarded just 4 grants totalling £226,250 (2021: 12 grants totalling £56,000), as follows:

o Magic Breakfast: £126,250.
o School Readers: £5,000.
o Thomas Coram Foundation for Children: £90,000,
and
o Uniformed: £5,000
